Shadowplay

Rendered Shadows

I experimented a little bit with the unsupported shadow rendering features of release candidate 1.23.0 (118378)

With a barely acceptable frame rate of 4.5, I was able to make pretty pictures with shadows included (those aren’t shadow prims.) Unfortunately there’s no way I could find to take snapshots of the result; what you see here is a screen cap. Unsupported, indeed. Still fun to play with. So not ready for prime time (or most peoples’ computers).

My computing rig used to be quite impressive for a laptop. Now I realize I need MOER POW3Rz.
